We are a small friendly group of around 120 members who have an interest in the railways of Italy. Members receive a quarterly magazine, "Binari" as well as the chance to borrow from our library and participate in meetings around the country.
We actively encourage model making in all the principle scales and research into Italian railways.

On March 25th, 2018 the Associazione Culturale FREMO-Calabria Nino Caldarella was established in Rende. The purpose of this non-profit association is the study of real railways and their history, the practice and the popularization of railway modeling, with particular regard to the Calabrian railways, also creating or participating in events and exhibitions. The group is part of the "Circle of Friends European Fermodellisti" (FREMO). With the opening of an operative office it will be possible to appreciate continuously the work of our members, the first commitment was participation in the "Miniature Railways at the Museum of Pietrarsa" organized by the FS Foundation held in Pietrarsa from 27 April to 1 May.

Binari Binders are now available from the Secretary. A5 and large enough for you to be able to get at least three years in each one. They are £8.50 each including postage and you can make a payment via PayPal in the same way you can pay membership. We can also bring them to exhibitions in which case they are £7.25 each, please let us know how many you want and we will bring them along. If you are ordering from outside the UK please contact the Secretary first and he will let you know how much the postage is prior to sending.
